Even though Eleven had already spoken with Adam telepathically a few times in the Void realm, and although she'd agreed during their last encounter to help him in his world for a while, she hadn't exactly expected him to open the doorway quite so quickly. Or effortlessly, for that matter. She'd simply pulled off her blindfold, reigning her telepathy back in while glancing around her room, and there it was. Nothing to indicate a significant shift in reality accompanied the doorway. In fact, she knew, somehow, no one else would even notice it if they were to walk in right at that very moment. But for Eleven, it was obvious. Much like recognizing her own hands, she knew that there was a trans-dimensional door just a few feet to her left and, unlike the one to the Upside Down, it didn't fill her with fear or trepidation.
In fact, as she stepped through without very much hesitation whatsoever, she found herself more curious than anything. She understood the story Adam had told her insofar as the words hadn't been foreign, but the concept behind them very much was. Her understanding of the world at large was limited, after all. She hadn't even understood the concept of God until a year earlier. So words like Antichrist, angels, demons, and the like, didn't mean much to her. But there was one word she knew far too well that he'd used.
Apocalypse. It had gotten her attention, coming from a boy so much like herself yet still so very different. And he'd asked for help. From her.
So yes. Eleven was mostly curious as she stepped through the doorway. Clad in a pair of jeans and tshirt, with dirty sneakers to complete the ensemble, she stepped into Adam's world fully prepared to help her new friend keep his friends safe. Realizing she was in a large room that looked like it was meant for training, and definitely wasn't alone, she glanced around, just enough to take in her surroundings. Then her focus snapped to the boy with the too innocent smile.
"Adam." She said simply. To those who didn't know her, or weren't listening for it, the touch of fondness in her tone would go by unnoticed, yet there was the faintest ghost of a smile at the corners of her mouth to accompany it. It disappeared as quickly as it had been there, though, as she took in the rest of her welcome party. It immediately became obvious, from her too-stiff demeanor, that social interactions were not her strong suit. After a second of simply standing there, she finally seemed to remember Mike's instructions that she should introduce herself if she met new people. So she blurted out ten simple words to suit her purpose without inviting anything further be said.
"My name is Eleven... or El. I'm here to help."
